Mar 25, 2014: Jamuura brings to you its first online film festival, JOSFF (Jamuura Online Short Film Festival). The festival will showcase 20 short films selected from record 400 submissions received over 45 days. To view the films, you simply need to visit jamuura.com. As audience, you can rate the films and win exciting prizes which include iPad Mini, Samsung phone, iPod Nano and Shuffles. Other weekly giveaways include funky t-shirts, cool mugs, caps and more.
The short films showcased in this festival are made by budding film makers from different parts of the country. A spectacular array of films that capture plots, ideas, stories, viewpoints and filmmaking talent will be featured for online consumption. Shortlisted films are open for viewing and rating by film buffs and enthusiasts only at jamuura.com.
JOSFF has on board a reputed jury line-up to uncover the best talents. The jury panel includes veteran filmmaker – Samir Ganguly (Directed films like Shagrid, Sharmeelee, Jaggu, Koi Jeete Koi Haara, Deewaangee and so on), eminent Cinematographer – Tirru (Kanchivaram, Bhool Bhulaiya, Hey Ram, Krrish 3 fame) and renowned theatre director and acting mentor – Barry John (Mentored the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Manoj Bajpai, Mira Nair, Frieda Pinto and many more Bollywood actors).
The Festival has been ushered by the young film fraternity with an overwhelming response across social media platforms. Jamuura’s page on Facebook excites its followers with unique content every day, and its fan base has grown exponentially in the past months.
The winners of JOSFF have fabulous prizes in store for them. The Grand Jamuura prize winner walks away with an award of Rs. 100,000. The Silver Jamuura winner gets Rs. 75,000 while the Bronze Jamuura winner gets Rs. 50,000. There is a Viewer’s Choice Award of Rs. 100,000, Best Animation film award of Rs. 50,000, as well as a Young Jamuura Award for an outstanding student film of Rs. 50,000.
