The ‘DDA Housing Scheme’ would be open to applicants from 1 September and the last date to receive the application is 9 October, some media reports and official statements claim. The draw of lots would preferably be taken out within 20 days of the close of the scheme. Where to apply and the team responsible for this open lottery will be confusing and trade secret of insiders and dealers, as usual with most Govt schemes.

Registration fee for all categories is Rs 1 lakh, and Rs 10,000 for EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category. Out of 896 newly-built flats, 512 are MIG flats and 384 Janta flats, located in Mukherjee Nagar, Narela, Rohini and Kalyan Vihar areas. The MIG flats would range from Rs. 41.30 lakh and Rs. 69.90 lakh and the Janta flats – one room tenement with a kitchen – would cost a little over Rs.10 lakh.

Some banks have been short-listed by the DDA for the sale of application forms which may includes ICICI, HDFC, SBI, IDBI, Axis Bank etc. A person above the age of 18 years, residing in any part of the country, can apply for the scheme provided he does not own any residential flat or plot in full or in part on lease hold or freehold basis in Delhi either in his or her own name or in the name of the spouse or minor or dependent children.

List of Documents required for Application of DDA House:

Application Form duly filled.
Undertaking duly attested by Notary Public / Magistrate Ist class.
Affidavit duly attested by Notary Public / Magistrate Ist class.
Indemnity bond duly attested by Notary Public / Magistrate Ist class.
Copy of POA(S) along with Sale Agreement (Where application is made by attorney), duly attested by Notary Public / Gazetted Officer
Proof of Physical Possession of the person in whose name the conversion is sought viz. copy of possession letter or slip / House Tax receipt / ration card / passport / driving license / ID card etc. duly attested by Notary Public/Gazetted Officer.
One attested passport size photograph and 4 attested specimen signature of the person in whose favour the Conversion is sought.
Details/Proof of Payment of ground rent (If Any)
Copy of Lease deed / sub-lessees deed / conveyance deed / allotment letter duly attested by Notary Public / Gazetted Officer.
Copy of N.O.C from the mortgagee duly attested by Notary Public / gazetted Officer (If any)
Scanned Copy of Initial / Monthly Installment challans paid.
