Oct 18, 2014 Istanbul/Hannover. “ICT is the key to the future” was the tagline for CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia 2014. After the successful reorientation of CeBIT in Hannover last March following the decision to focus fully on professional visitors, CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia also concentrated entirely on the B2B target group. CeBIT Global Conferences, an event which has become established in Hannover and proved a major success, now took place for the second time in Turkey.
CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia provided valuable insights into pioneering solutions for use in education, online banking, e-commerce, the health sector, e-government, mobile technology and smart cities. The trade fair and the accompanying conference took place from 11 to 14 September in the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM).
“In close consultation with our customers we have decided that in future the B2B sector should be the focus of CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia. The response from our exhibitors has shown that this new orientation proved a complete success”, says Andreas Gruchow, Board member responsible for the foreign trade shows of Deutsche Messe AG, Hannover.
The trade fair, which serves as a bridge between the ICT markets in Turkey, South Eastern Europe, the Black Sea region, the Middle East and North Africa, attracted a total of 705 exhibitors from 18 countries, including Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Dubai, Germany, South Korea, Poland and Taiwan. For the first time companies from Croatia also took part in the event.
