Dec 21, 2015: The Katmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is promoting an Integrated Sustainable Solid Waste Management Project in Nepal. European Union along with the technical support of Himalayan Alliance for Climate Change (HIMCCA) has provided a grant to Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) towards the cost of Promoting integrated sustainable solid waste management project in Nepal.
Part of these funds are to be used to provide payments under the contract for the Procurement of Supply, Delivery and Installation Bio-Methanation based Waste to Energy Plant with Water Recycle Unit. The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has invited sealed bids from eligible bidders from Nepal or foreign companies with a minimum experience of supply, delivery and installation of prototype Bio-Methanation based waste to energy plant with at least 14 Kilo Watt electricity generation after consumption in the plant and three tons organic fraction of wastes per day.
The complete set of Bidding Documents are available for download from the PPMO website or can be purchased from the office of KMC. Bidders must submit the application with the Registration Certificate, Tax Clearance, VAT/PAN registration certificate. Bidders who choose to submit their bids electronically may do so in accordance with the Instructions to the bidders.
The Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the KMC office at 14:00 hours, on January 18, 2016 and the Sealed Bids must be submitted or before 12:00 hours on January 28, 2016.
The Bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 14:00 hours on January 28, 2016 at the KMC office.
