Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), in association with ARS Sutoria, Italy organized a seminar on ‘Trends Forecast – Spring Summer (Footwear & Leather Goods) followed by the five days workshop for its students to make them clear about the present trends and how to work maintain this trend set-up. After the seminar, an interactive session was organized for students where they displayed their creative art works. This presentation was even proved to be an excellent opportunity for the industry to take maximum benefit from the trend forecast.

FDDI has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ARS Sutoria, Milan, Italy as a cross-benefit to both the Institutes exists in the area of growth and development in international understanding and global knowledge for its faculty and students.
ARS Sutoria is the most prestigious school for the leather goods and footwear design located in Milan – Italy, the fashion capital for clothing, leather and accessories. It’s renowned for the method of teaching with extensive knowledge of new CAD-CAM technology and has core expertise in the area of trend research, interpretation of research based data and product designing backed with publication. The two days joint seminar was addressed by Ms. Elena Marradi, Trend Researcher of ARS Sutoria in FDDI’s auditorium at Trends Forecast – Spring Summer 2014 which was organized to support the Leather, Footwear & Allied Industries in the thrust areas such as Fashion & Trend Fore casting, Design & Product Innovations with Quality Assurance & Productivity. And the five days workshop was conducted by Mr. Rubarto & Ms. Milena both from ARS Sutoria. This workshop equipped the participants with modern ideas & techniques of pattern cutting, sketching and merchandising.
Not only the FDDI students and staffs but this seminar was even attended by faculties of other colleges/schools of surrounding areas, industrialists and other dignitaries. For proper dissemination of information brochure and other publications were distributed, during the seminar.
